Originally an airbrush artist, Randy started tattooing in 1998. He applies those skills to his tattooing and has spent the years since, honing his techniques.

"I started out in a street shop, doing a lot of flash, always with the intention of doing more artistic custom work. Those years helped me learn the business and technical end of tattooing. Eventually, I got tired of the run-of-the-mill shops and 'just do enough to get by' attitude toward tattooing. I wanted to do it my way, so I opened Permenant Buzz. It's not a job, it's my passion, it's my life. After 12 years, I still dream about it and lose sleep thinking about it -- the anticipation of what I'm gonna do the next day. I also feel very honored that people trust me to create art for them. For clients to wear my work, it's the greatest compliment.
